Formula One Legends: World Championship 2007

In the first year following the retirement of Michael Schumacher, the excitement returned to the Formula 1 2007 season with yet another duel Ferrari-McLaren.

Ferrari had a bet on two drivers: Kimi Raikkonen, twice vice world champion, and Felipe Massa, third place in the league before.

While McLaren incorporated the double world champion Fernando Alonso to the team and bet on the young and unknown British driver Lewis Hamilton.

Every expectation was around one more title to Alonso and Hamilton believe that anyone would be more than mere assistant before the champion.

But English has surprised everyone by her boldness and regularity. He stood on the podium in the first eight races of the season and reached the final race of the year championship lead.

However, at the decisive moment, Lewis Hamilton sinned by inexperience. He missed the last clash and paved the way for the title to be decided between Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen. With an impeccable performance, the Ferrari driver won the GP of Brazil and won the world champion for the first time.

While the two McLaren drivers were left with the same amount of points, just one point behind Kimi.
