Have you ever needed to fake cry, but didn’t have your water bottle handy? Here is another way of doing it.

Method 1

  1. 1

Use your hands to hold one eye open really wide. That will make you cry really fast.

  2. 2

    Dry your bottom eyelids.

  3. 3

Open your eyes as wide as possible.

  4. 4

    Fan your eyes rapidly.

  5. 5

Another faster way is to rapidly rub your eyes. Once you’ve felt some, or even a tiny bit of tears, force your eyelids open with your fingers and hold it for at least 10 seconds1

Method 2

  1. Image
  1. Think of something sad.
  2. 2

Do what you would when you normally start crying.

  3. 3

Think about a sad thing, saying stuff such as, “It’s my fault” or how you miss something. It can bring tears sometimes.

Method 3

  1. 1

Get some Olbas oil or menthol stuff for sniffing.

  2. 2

Put it on your tissue, and when you want to start crying, make noises and blow your nose with a tissue, rubbing it under your eyes.

  3. 3

Cover your mouth and nose with both of your hands and yawn, this will make your eyes water!

Method 4

  1. 1

Listen to some really sad music.

  2. 2

When you listen to it, imagine really sad things like, someone you know dying or other stuff you may find sad.

Method 5

  1. 1

Make yourself feel tired if you can yawn; then do so. Your eyes will start to water within seconds. To make it look dramatic, cover your mouth like you’re shocked so others cannot see your mouth.

Method 6

  1. 1

Yawn (and cover your mouth so no one can see).

  2. 2

    Think sad thoughts.

  3. 3

    Don’t blink.

  4. 4

    Blink rapidly.

  5. 5

Stare at the person your trying to trick’s nose.

  6. 6

Go to plan b. If this didn’t work go to plan b.

  7. 7

plan b: use spit or water and rub it under your eye lids (don’t let anyone see you do it).

  • Keep your eyes open until you feel some tears.
  • Breathe a little faster.
  • Sometimes it helps to picture yourself as a character in a book or movie at a sad moment.
  • Feel sad when you do these steps; it will also help and may even work a lot faster depending on how emotional you can get!
  • Don’t think of things too sad, because you may really start to cry because the idea is to fake cry, not actually cry.
  • Yawn again and again, until you feel tears come to your eyes.
  • Blink 20 times then hold your eyes open for about fifteen seconds without blinking, then blink 10 more times.

  • Be careful with the oil method because if you get it directly in your eye, it will seriously hurt and may damage your eyesight. So make sure you wash it off afterwards.
  • Don’t follow this method if you are wearing contacts. They will dry up and it can be extremely dangerous for your eyes. This method will not work anyways, as the air will not reach your iris.
  • Fan your eyes when no one is looking . Otherwise, it won’t work.
  • Some of these can be harmful to your eyes, such as rubbing them, which can also cause wrinkles. Instead, try to feel like you would if whatever you’re crying for was really happening.
